This overarching story, told in seven books that need to be read in order, took me on an emotional rollercoaster with love blooming amid chaos, survivors confronting their deepest fears, and a chosen family formed in the most unlikely of places. It’s about standing up when the world tries to break you, daring to live as your authentic self, and finding love that refuses to let go, even when it’s unexpected, inconvenient, or (gasp!) even improper.
