Your X-Factor: The Biggest Challenge for Authors

The writing business has a steep learning curve, especially for newbie self published authors. There’s so much to learn, both in terms of writing as in the publishing, marketing, and business side. A lot of is is stuff that’s relatively easy to find on Google, but you have to know to look for it in the first place (trust me, I’m still learning a lot with every single release…). Weekly Gay Romance Deals and New Releases (Oct 27)

I had planned to do a weekly deals post last week, but then life got in the way. I was at a conference and things didn’t go as planned, so I really didn’t have the time to make the post. And as you will all understand, this is not something I can prepare in advance. So, with apologies, but here’s this week’s edition…and it’s another great one! Teaser from Ignite

It’s been an absolutely crazy two months with me releasing not one but two books, but I couldn’t be happier with the results. Alpha’s Pride is getting fab reviews, and I’ve sent off Ignite, my sci fi MMM romance, to my editor.

Today, I thought I’d share a little more about Ignite, since some people were a little worried. Ignite can best be described as a mix of sci fi (there’s an alien invasion happening) and a dystopian world, with a sweet, slow burn MMM romance thrown in. Kind of like Hunger Games meets Independence Day. Continue reading “Teaser from Ignite”

Nora Reviews: Daddy Kink

I haven’t posted much lately, due to a conference I was attending, but I’m back! I thought it was time for another round of mini-reviews, and today, we’ll focus on some lovely daddy kink.

Now, daddy kink can mean different things, so in each review I’ll mention if there’s age play (one character “acting” like he’s much younger), ABDL (adult baby/diaper lovers, meaning one of the characters wears diapers at times) or if it’s daddy kink without these elements. In this fourth book in the Irresistible Omegas series, we meet a new threesome: Bray, a cocky alpha, Kean, a sweet and stubborn beta, and Ruari, a sassy omega. Their road to love is a rocky one, and their story will continue in the next book. We’ll also check in with previous characters from the series, and discover new developments in the overall plot. Writing With Causal Logic

In school, many of us have learned about logic in a more or less formal way. We learn how to build an argument or how to defend a position, using  logical steps, methods like inductive or deductive reasoning. It’s how we were taught to write our essays and papers. My son recently had to write an essay about why he wanted to be a safety patrol in his school, and his teacher complimented him on his structured five-point approach.

In writing stories, this kind of reasoning isn’t really helpful. That doesn’t mean we can abandon all logic, however. In stories and fiction books, we need a different kind of logic. We need causal logic. Continue reading “Writing With Causal Logic”
