Today is Wednesday, and of course, that means it’s time for Writer Wednesday. Usually, I would’ve posted earlier, but first of all, I’ve been crazy busy this week. But more importantly, my wrist has been really bothering me lately. I suspect I have a beginning case of carpal tunnel syndrome, and so for the last few days, I’ve been busy trying to figure out an alternative to typing. It’s also the reason why I haven’t posted yesterday and the day before. Continue reading “My First Experiences with Dragon Naturally Speaking Dictation Software”
Are you curious what deals we have this week for new releases, 99c deals, and freebies in gay romance? Here we go! As always, make sure to check the price before buying as these deals don’t last long and may not be valid in every Amazon store.
(Note: I usually use global links that link to your local Amazon store, but the app I use for those didn’t work, so all links are to the US store this time. Sorry!) Continue reading “Weekly Gay Romance Deals and New Releases (June 9)”
Like many readers, I love me some series. Maybe it’s because you can completely immerse yourself into a world with multiple books set in the same place, or because you get to really live with characters through high and lows, I don’t know.
I have a special fondness for connected series, where each book builds on the previous one, meaning they have to be read in order. My own No Shame series is a connected MM romance series, and so is the new Irresistible Omegas series. So in today’s edition of Nora reviews, here are four MM romance connected series I absolutely love. This is by no means a complete list, haha. Continue reading “Nora Reviews: MM Romance Connected Series”
This week for Writer Wednesday, we’re gonna look at writing sex scenes. There’s a whole lot I can say about this topic, so we’ll split it up into multiple posts. We’ll start with talking about the goal of sex scenes. By the way, I first wanted to call this series writing solid sex scenes…but that pun was too easy, haha. Continue reading “Writing Sex Scenes: What’s The Goal?”
I’m working hard on the third book in the Irresistible Omegas series, called Beta’s Surrender. Over the weekend, I spent an hour or two brainstorming plot developments. I have a huge white filing cabinet in my writing nook, and right now, it’s completely covered in bright green post its with ideas for scenes. I could show you a picture…but then you’d see all these spoilers, so that’s not gonna happen, haha.
Instead, I’ll show you a little teaser…(it’s still unedited) Continue reading “Teaser from Beta’s Surrender”
This week’s Listopia post is an interesting one. I asked the readers in my facebook group what clichés in gay romance they were most tired of. There were two definitive “winners”, but the comments was where things got interesting.
Let’s start with two two biggest clichés my readers voted for in gay romance: Continue reading “The Two Biggest Clichés in Gay Romance”
Let’s see what deals we have this week for new releases, 99c deals, and freebies in gay romance. As always, make sure to check the price before buying as these deals don’t last long and may not be valid in every Amazon store. Continue reading “Weekly Gay Romance Deals and New Releases (June 2)”
For this week’s edition of Nora Reviews, I’ll be highlighting some kinky gay romances I recently read that I absolutely loved. Kinky is a broad term, of course, and for me it can mean anything from mild BSDM to puppy play, taboo, or heavier stuff.
Let’s get started! Continue reading “Nora Reviews: Three Kinky Gay Romances”
For self-published writers, two things always go hand in hand: writing and marketing. Many of us love the first and hate the second, but you need both. You need great books, but you also need great marketing, also known as an author platform.
This is even true for traditionally published authors, though their publisher may be of assistance there. The reality is that you can’t sell books without a platform, a presence, especially online. In this edition of Writers Wednesday, we’ll explore what that author platform can look like. Continue reading “How to Build an Author Platform”
